ROBERT LUX & TODD EDWARDS - I'VE STILL GOT SUNSHINE (REMIXES)
Several years ago, house music pioneer Todd Edwards sought out Robert Lux at a Hobokenrock show after hearing Lux's band on the internet. The two have become fast friends and truly synergistic collaborators. I've Still Got Sunshine is the first joint release between New York producer Lux and New Jersey house luminary (and Daft Punk collaborator) Edwards.
Now, Young Robots releases an EP with three adventurous remixes from three of underground dance music's major up-and-comers - Pat Lok, Pittsburgh Track Authority and Michael The Lion (aka DJ Apt One). The title track originally appeared on Young Robots' YR018, the "Philadelphia Maneto" compilation of thePhiladelphia andNew Jersey underground dance acts.
I've Still Got Sunshine sounds as cheerful as its title suggests - with bouncy synths and Edwards' trademark vocal chopping style. Philadelphia's Michael The Lion takes a balearic direction - playing chunking acoustic guitar and funky bass that adds even more "sunshine." Vancouver's Pat Lok comes forward with an organ-laced, Disclosure-esque shuffling house bomb. Lastly, Pittsburgh Track Authority's remix brings a deep, propulsive analog groove that set off their recent guest spot at Berlin's Berghain.

In addition to his own legendary productions, Edwards has also remixed Justice, Phoenix, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Spank Rock, Boris, Appaloosa, Surkin, Robin S, Zoot Woman, St. Germain, and Dimitri From Paris. Edwards also co-produced, co-wrote, and sang on the Daft Punk song "Face to Face" on their 2001 album Discovery. He also worked with Daft Punk on 2013's "Random Access Memories"

His Cashmere Cat and Justin Timberlake club reworks, and original single "Remember" found BBC Radio One airplay, as well as a disco-tinged AlunaGeorge bootleg endorsed by the band and cracking 200,000 plays on Soundcloud. In 2014 his original singles "Move Slow" and "Same Hearts" have received acclaim, landing amongst in iTunes' featured selections and earning glowing reviews from tastemakers. In 2013, Pat brought his sound to Europe, Mexico, Canada and the US.
